Customer Travel Experience: 10-Day Silversea Cruise From Seattle to Alaska

What did you enjoy most about the trip?

The thing that lives longest in our memory is the breathtaking scenery and natural beauty of the places we visited along the way.

We really enjoyed the streamlined and smooth service onboard the Silver Muse. Our steward took the time to make sure we were well looked after, it was beyond excellent.

We also loved immersing ourselves in the local culture through the shore excursions we took. In particular, the railway excursion was a fascinating way to see more of the locations.

What were the onboard facilities and features like?

At the beginning of our vacation, we were met dockside and embarkation was a breeze. Our luggage appeared in our suite without us having to do anything. The butler service on board was so good, too. They were very attentive and couldn’t do enough to accommodate our needs and requirements throughout the journey.

My diet is gluten-free, and the dining experience on board was excellent. The chef was very accommodating to my requirements, taking the time to ask about them and checking we had everything we needed. There really is something for everyone, with so many choices when it comes to restaurants. You’ve got Italian, Asian, and Outback cuisine, while you can choose to take breakfast in one of the restaurants or indulge in some room service.

The different bar areas are very nice, with a great variety of casual areas depending on what you want — again, there was something for everyone! There wasn’t a formal dress code either, something we loved as it made everything feel comfortable and relaxing.

We took advantage of the online booking system for a little spa time. It was very easy to use and the facilities themselves were lovely — we felt very content.

Going out with the expedition team aboard the smaller ship was something we really enjoyed as well. The food, the service, and the tours were all fantastic. We had no complaints about Silversea Cruises because it was a great experience from start to finish.
