What was the highlight of your cruise?

The amazing wildlife has to be the number one highlight of this vacation. Wildlife in the Galapagos has no fear of people due to the long isolation of the islands preceding human contact, and we loved being able to walk amongst the blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, seals, and frigate birds. We also got to see the red-footed boobies on their nests and saw different types of giant tortoises.

With fantastic scenery throughout and a variety of inspiring experiences – including a visit to the tortoise reserve on Santa Cruz – it was a memorable journey. 

The guides were all really knowledgeable, and because there was such a range of activities and excursions to join, it meant there was something to suit different fitness levels and physical abilities for everyone on board. In fact, my husband and I went on several different excursions, which shows how tailored you can make things.

How were the onboard facilities?

The service on board was wonderful. Our butler was efficient, friendly, and knew what we needed before we asked for it. The Silversea staff gave us super smooth and seamless service from start to finish.

We also really enjoyed the food, there were so many excellent options available at the onboard restaurants as we sailed through the islands.
